A Christmas Carol

Why see A Christmas Carol?

Scrooge And Co Ring In The Holidays!

The Omaha Community Playhouse's annual production of that family classic, A Christmas Carol, returns! A regular Holiday highlight since 1976, the story follows Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by three ghosts who help instill some Christmas cheer into his old heart. Adults and children alike will delight in this timeless tale of redemption, generosity, and selflessness! A delightful way to see the festive season with all the family, the OCP production is adapted by Charles Jones, with musical orchestration by John J. Bennett and direction from Susan Baer Collins and Jim McKain.

A Timeless Tale

Ever since Charles Dickens first penned A Christmas Carol in 1843, it has seen myriad stage adaptations and the popularity of this tale of redemption and second chances has seemingly never waned. From stage to screen, opera to one-man show, it is one of the most influential Christmas shows and a traditional holiday outing that defines the joy of the Yuletide period for most of us.
