UNBELIEVABLE SHOW - LOVED IT
I am a HUGE Beatles fan, and this was an amazing show, uber talented singers and musicians, brought the Beatles music back to life with the energy and passion it so deserves. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra were the icing on the cake! It was definitely worth the 4.5 hour drive to see this show!! A must see show!
This is the Hamilton of orchestra shows
OMG, my husband and I haven’t seen anything this good since Hamilton. The musicians were wonderfully talented and the film and pictures added so much. It was inspiring to see these incredible young musicians singing the Beatles with such perfection. My only complaint was that they only did 4 encores because nobody wanted this to end.
The best live Beatles experience ever (other than The Beatles!)
This project blew us away. We’re huge Beatles’ fans and we’ve seen Rain, Classical Mystery Tour, etc. But Revolution is light years above them. First, these are all YOUNG amazing musicians not 4 guys with wigs trying to impersonate the fab4. The imagery and visuals from the abbey road sessions was a great add-on. Go see it!
Amazing concert!
Didn't know what to expect going to see this, but I can tell you it's not a watered-down symphony show where old people are playing instrumentals of Beatles' songs, like what you'd see on 'evening at pops' on pbs. This is definitely a killer rock show with orchestra. It's very authentic to the original recordings. The singers and band were fantastic, and while they are not dressing like or attempting to impersonate the beatles, their styles fit with the music very well. My only complete about it is orchestra hall and the sound there. This show needs to be in a theatre.
Not what I expected
Wanted this to be a symphonic experiece as the title of the show suggests. Instead the orchestra was drowned out by the electric guitar, base, drum and singers. Found much of the screen content behind the performance silly. The performance was at Orchestra Hall which is supposed to feature the Minnesota Orchestra yet the orchestra was not featured at all. Instead, we get the focus on the band and the singers. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
